After a weekend of solid sanding, the frame is just about complete. Phew!

- Just over a year ago, I signed up for an evening course in Furniture Making at Leeds College of Art & Design. Little did I know that twelve months, one stool and a small veneered box later I’d have sold my house, swapped my two-seater sports car for something more ‘practical’ and upped sticks to the other end of the country to begin an intensive one year furniture making course in Devon. So, I’ve put my writing career on hold for now and here I am, bags packed and about to embark on the trip of a lifetime. In a caravan. To be more specific, a two-berth, single axle, touring caravan affectionately known as Arthur, that will be home to Stanley (the dog) and I for the next 12 months...
