Having bought Stanners a lovely new (and not cheap) basket for the workshop, he's now decided he prefers to be (on) top dog. Yep, on top of my workbench. He never did like being the underdog - but then neither would I. Bless.
Just over a year ago, I signed up for an evening course in Furniture Making at Leeds College of Art & Design. Little did I know that twelve months, one stool and a small veneered box later I’d have sold my house, swapped my two-seater sports car for something more ‘practical’ and upped sticks to the other end of the country to begin an intensive one year furniture making course in Devon.
So, I’ve put my writing career on hold for now and here I am, bags packed and about to embark on the trip of a lifetime. In a caravan. To be more specific, a two-berth, single axle, touring caravan affectionately known as Arthur, that will be home to Stanley (the dog) and I for the next 12 months...

I reckon, put a couple of half-Nielsons (boom boom) on Stanley's feet and get that boy working if he's going to bagsy the bench!
Good blog. You're alright at this writing lark arent you! But it sounds like you are now also an excellent tool sharpener. Bring on the furniture.
I have a plane, coincidentally it's made by Stanley. Unfortunately it's very blunt.
